Overly sexual show, great venue

I got a pair of tickets from a friend who couldn't make it. I paid $170 for two tickets so it wasn't bad, figured I'd make a nice trip to SF out of it. Venue planning wise, it was pretty good! It was advertised that doors open at 9pm and the show starts at 9:30pm. We finished dinner pretty quickly so got there around 9pm. The line was pretty efficient/kept moving so I didn't feel like I was waiting in line for a while, but it was 9:30pm and I was still walking in with a ways to go. I don't quite remember but by the time I got my drink and seats, it was probably around 10pm. When they said no phones, they mean it! When you go through the metal detector, they take your phone and put it into this cloth bag that they then magnetically seal. You hold onto the bag and if you need to use your phone, there are stations where an employee will unseal it and let you use it, but once you go back to the show, they need to seal it again. My husband was saying this would be perfect for schools haha. I was a bit nervous because I was on-call at work that weekend but thankfully nothing happened. Almost forgot, but I know I had the cheap seats, but oh man you really get what you pay for. One of our seats was the nice theater seat and the other one was just... like a random folding chair you'd get at Costco!! I was quite annoyed about that, I paid $85 to sit in a folding chair?? However it actually came in handy because it's a bit taller than the theater chairs. I was originally sitting in the theater chair while my husband took the folding chair when a rather tall woman sat in front of me. I'm very short so I couldn't see over her so I traded seats with my husband and could see great for the rest of the show. The opening act guy was cool. I felt like we only got to see Ali Wong for about an hour. All of her jokes were sexual in nature and while I thought it was interesting at first, it got old fast for me. I think I only chuckled a handful of times and I just don't feel like that's worth $85. I am interested in watching her Netflix shows though, to see what the hype was about. Overall, I'd say Venue: 4/5 Show: 2/5
